Teckentrup Automatic Car-Teck Sectional door moves vertically and glides along tracks under the garage ceiling/joists. This provides you with more space on your driveway because you can park right outside and still be able to open the garage door. Like the other sectionals, the name comes from the multiple panels that make up the garage door. Each with a different design offering.

Teckentrup Carteck panels are 40mm thick (steel sandwiched with a foam core) this is an excellent choice for those looking to improve thermal efficiency in their garage. The typical U Value (insulation value) for a single sized (8’ x 7’) is 1.38 W/m2k. These doors also have multiple seals to try to provide some weather protection, in turn keeping the energy consumption low.

If you have a sloping floor Teckentrup can manufacture a bottom panel to suit this, whilst at the same time making sure that if you have multiple doors side by side that the designs match in beautifully. See the brochure for more details.

With four options available for Automation there will be a perfect one to suit your needs. The various models offer a multitude of Smart Solutions whether you are looking for an easy way to get your parcels delivered, extra security or even some guidance on the perfect point in your garage to park your car! There are four surface textures:

• Smooth
• Woodgrain
• Stucco
• Micro-Profiled

And four design options:

• Solid
• Centre Ribbed
• Standard Ribbed
• Georgian which is only available in Woodgrain

All the above choices listed are priced the same so you can get a cost and decide what design and texture you would like later or if you change your mind from your first pick you know there won’t be an uptake in cost.

Teckentrup also have an extensive colour selection with White RAL9016 being the most cost-effective, then there is an uptake in cost for Trend and Trend Plus colours. You have 43 colours to choose from and the option of any RAL shade you would like.

If that’s not enough choices for you, you also have the option of having windows, “Bling” windows, design accents, letter box, spy hole, pet flaps and if you think of anything else you would like on your door, they will try to make it happen for you!

Their normal door sizes go up to 5.5meters wide by 3 meters high. They then have their “Super-Size” which can go up to 8meters wide in a single span. This is unusual for the domestic market as our other manufacturers would need to make this an industrial product instead.

This product has many amazing features! As demonstrated in the video above and my favourite is Access Pack 4 – this has a special button on the video that allows you to have a parcel delivered into your garage!!

There are many other features available such as:

• Parking aid, this is a laser that tells you where to park in your garage this is called Parking Pack 1.
• Humidity sensor that opens your door if it senses too much moisture in your garage, it’s called Parking Pack 2.
• Security extras such as the Security Pack 1 that mechanically locks the motor in any position (even whilst using Parking Pack 2) which increases security by using newton force to keep the door closed or kept in one position. This also comes with a loud alarm to deter the break in. There is an optional add on (Security Pack 2) of having your operator control the lights in the garage or security lighting in the garage too. This will need the help of an electrician to set this up.
• Lighting – many lighting options are available from sensing you are in the garage and turning on the operator light, controlling garage or security lighting, LED strip lights around the tracks of the garage door and LED light bars for the top of the garage door. These are all called Ambience Packs.
• There are a few accessories such as a keypads and wireless wall switches.
• You can also add extra safety on by adding photocells, which will be required if you are using the Smart Pack home control.
